Julia hails from the Green Mountains of Vermont. She has loved myths and fairy tales from the time she was young. Her writing explores her interests in the magical, the otherworldly, and the anything-but-mundane, as well as the complexities of emotion and behavior (the product of a psychology education and a love of character-driven stories!).
When not writing, she can usually be found caring for her menagerie of animals, gardening, open water swimming, hunting for mushrooms, or spending time with loved ones. Oh, and she'll never turn down tiramisu.
